We Do Care

Under the leadership of Dirk Beveridge and a team of dedicated volunteers and sponsors, We Do Care has made a difference in the lives of thousands of soldiers, their families and US veterans.

We Do Care is an Illinois 501c3, non political, and grass roots organization, founded by Dirk Beveridge and concerned Illinois residents in September 2004.

The Mission of We Do Care is to provide tangible opportunities for the American public to thank and support active duty military personnel, their families, and veterans while acknowledging and appreciating the freedom unique to our country.

We Do Care accomplishes this great mission by hosting and catalyzing broad sponsorship of the Annual Family Freedom Festival and 9.11 Mile Freedom Run, both held in Downtown Barrington in September.

“Since our founding in 2004 we have been committed to insuring those who serve never have to ask ‘Are we being supported back home?’” explains Beveridge. “By partnering with more than twenty organizations and every branch of the military we find meaningful ways to thank and tangibly support those who selflessly serve their country.”

Dirk Beveridge has a proven track record as a community organizer.

Yes, community organizer-- uniting groups, catalyzing grass roots movement and solving a community problem: “Since 2004 when I founded We Do Care and Annual Freedom Festival, we have united more than 20 service organizations and thousands of patriotic citizens in Northern Illinois with military leadership in Washington and troops across five continents. We are …humbly and proudly…a big part of the Support the Troops movement.”

We Do Care is not endorsing any political candidate.

Let's bring real solutions to the challenges that our country, communities and families face today.
