About Dirk

Dirk Beveridge is a 2010 Republican candidate for United States Congress in Illinois' 8th District's. A lifelong resident of Barrington, Beveridge is a successful small business owner, hard-working philanthropist, nationally-recognized grass-roots activist, and a man dedicated to family, patriotism and community service. Throughout his personal and professional endeavors, Beveridge partners with clients, neighbors and fellow leaders to make a meaningful difference.

In addition to growing his company, 4th Generation Systems into a self-sustaining business helping distribution and manufacturing companies achieve sales success, Beveridge is best known for his visionary, grass roots activism in support of U.S. troops by helping launch We Do Care (501c3) and the Family Freedom Festival.

In April of 2008 Dirk was a member of the Department of Defense's Joint Civilian Orientation Conference (JCOC) where he was indoctrinated into the U.S. military through an eight-day tour of SouthCom. The conference included stops at the Pentagon, Guantanamo Bay, the USS George Washington, Bogota Columbia, Cartagena Columbia, Soto Cano Air Base Honduras, and Key West.

Beveridge holds a Bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University (Macomb). Beveridge and his wife of 23 years, Gail Beveridge have a son and a daughter , both whom attend the University of Wisconsin (Madison).
